The Pantheon was built for the first time in the year 27 AD bt Agrippa, but suffered a serious fire in year 80 so that was rebuilt in the same form by the Emperor Hadrian in 127. In the year 609 the Pantheon came into the custody of the pope Bonifaciu the forth who transformed the it in a Christian church naming it Santa Maria dei Martiri a name which remained until today. The Pantheon name comes from Greek and means "temple of all gods". That was transformed into the church helped enormously to conserve it, because it was hidden / protected from damage, thieves, abandonment, and thus become famous today for how to fully preserved since antiquity without being restored with the passage of years. This building is one of the greatest inventions novels: the dome

Has a circular shape with a diameter equal to the height of 43.5 m and is the largest building of its kind in the world. The wall thickness at the base is 6.4 m and at the opening is only 0.7 m, the diameter of the opening is 9.1 m and it is the eye itself and is the only source of natural light.

Rome Nightlife

Rome, ItalyThe hang out pods of this city of the gods can be mapped not only by the stereotypically labeled genre of content but by age group as well. The legal drinking age in Italy is relatively young sixteen, so youth participation in clubs, pubs and other venues of night socialization is a common scenario. Some of the notable places to hang out for night bonding are Piazza Navona and Via della Pace with their labyrinth-alley-laden share that houses wine bars and cafes that are of chic stature. One can also chill and enjoy in the music and heterogeneous atmosphere of Campo De Fiori. Other hotspots for night enjoyments are Trastevere, San Lorenzo,... Read more »
