The city of Weingarten lies in the north of the district city Ravensburg. It is close to the so called "Altdorfer" forrest in the eas. The towen is situated at the Schussen valley, at the east edge of it. Through this valley runs the river Schussen, going right into the lake of constance, connected about that with the river Rhein. Together with the cities of Friedrichshafen and Ravensburg Weingarten forms the upper center of Bodensee-Oberschwaben. This contains also the communities of Baindt, Baienfurt, Bodnegg, Berg, Fronreute, Grünkraut, Horgenzell, Schlier, Vogt, Waldburg, Wolfegg, Wilhelmsdorf and Wolpertswende.... Read more »
