Ulm ist eine Universitätsstadt in Baden- Wüttemberg. Ulm liegt an der Donau, ein großer Fluss und südöstlich am Rand der Schwäbischen Alb. Die Stadt hat über 120 000 Einwohner. Ulm ist die größte Stadt im Regierungsbezirk Tübingen. Die Durchschnittstemperatur ist 8 Grad (1971-2000), also nicht so warm. In Ulm wurde Albert Einstein geboren. Ulm war früher eine freie Reichsstadt und ein Königspfalz.
Kultur
Es gibt viele große Theater in Ulm, z. B. das Städtische Theater, dass das größte Theater in Ulm ist (mit 841 Sitzplätze) und das älteste Theater Deutschlands (1641), das Theater Ulüm, das Ulmermuseum (Kunst, Archäologie, Stadt- und Kulturgeschichte). Dann gibt es noch die Kunsthalle Weishaupt, die 2007 eröffnet wurde. Viele Museen gibt es in Ulm, wie das Museum derBrotkultur (Technik, Geschichte und Entwicklung des Brotes), das Donauschwäbische Zentralmuseum, dort wird über die Donauschaben berichtet, das Setra Museum und viele mehr. In Ulm gibt es eine Akkademie für darstellende Kunst.
Freizeit und Sport
Der SSV Ulm 1846 ist mit 12 000 Mitglieder der zweitgrößte Verein in Baden- Wüttmberg, dort gibt es alle Sportarten, die man machen will.
Sehenswürigkeiten
Ulm ist bekannt für seine gottische Münster, mit dem Kirchturm von 161,53 Meter. Dieser Kirchturm ist der größte der Welt. Dann gibt es noch das Ulmer Schwörhaus und das Kloster Wiblingen.
Regelmäßige Veranstaltungen
In Ulm gibt es eine Open Air an der Klostermauer, eine Schwörwoche, den Ulmer Weihnachtsmarkt, den Einstein – Marathon und das große schöne Volksfest. Natürlich gibt es noch viele mehr.
Verkehr
In Ulm wird viel zu Fuß gelaufen oder mit dem Fahrrad gefahren. Es gibt aber auch Züge und Busse. In der Nähe von Ulm gibt es auch eine große Autobahn und eine große Bundesstraße.
