I have been to Kawasan Falls during high school, we went for a field trip tour around South of Cebu. We stopped over Badian and visited Kawasan Falls. All I can remember was walking a very long trail and see the beautiful falls and that's about it.

But last September 2009 if I remember rightly, my friend in college sent me a text message saying we were going to Badian will have an overnight stay there because it's fiesta. Fiesta is an annual celebration in honor of a patron saint in a certain place.

So I never turned down the invitation and eventually agreed to go there together with my husband. We met up with my friends near the bus station. We rode a bus going to Badian. Guess what? The bus driver was driving so fast it seems that he was on a race and even if there were some bends on the road, it was never an issue. It was like a 4 hour bus ride going to Badian.

We arrived in the house of my friend and then we were told that we are going to stay in a cottage of which my friend's uncle owns it. We could hear water at the back of the cottage...My friend told me that the water we were hearing came from the back, it was the area where the fresh water from the river meet with the salt water of the sea. Pretty amazing ha? I never thought there was such an area or a body water that is in between the river and the sea.

After having dinner, we went out and have fun, wandering around going to a place where there was some sort of disco going on. Being there for a while made my husband a little bit bored because he was not used to having so much noise and too much people. So we went back to the cottage and stayed in a resting area where we heard the sound of the water going to the shore. We could not hear any noise, it was purely the sound of the water, and that's about it. There was no light, all there was the light coming from the moon.

It was so lovely and peaceful it made my husband and I fell in love with the place. In the morning, the fun and adventure begins...
