Here are few things about Fort San Pedro (the Past and the Present):

1. Fort San Pedro is considered as the oldest and smallest fort in the country.

2. It took around 200 years for the existence of the Fort San Pedro to be known. It was King Philip II who triggered it. He asked for a detailed information about Cebu. Gov. Gen. Tanon made the report to the king.

3. Fort San Pedro's shape is triangular.

4. Architect Leonardo Concepcion was responsible for the completion of the plan as well as the estimate for restoring the fort.

5. The restoration of Fort San Pedro was a joint project and funded by the Cebu City Gov't., Cebu Zonta Club, and the Board of Travel Industry (now commonly known as Dept. of Tourism)

6. Fort San Pedro is now classed as historical park and under the good hands of the Cebu City Gov't.
