(about Nairobi, Kenya, last edited on Jul 02, 2008)

The buildings of Nairobi are not the main attraction of the city but its people. Nairobi is home to the most fun-loving and friendly people that highlight the city every time the sun goes down. Therefore, when in Nairobi, never fail to visit the busy streets during the night because you will experience a different city when the people start to paint the town red on their way to the party scene.

It is necessary that you experience a night the Nairobi way else, you will be missing one of the best times of your life. For a touch of Latin America across the Atlantic Ocean, head down to the famed Havana Restaurant and Café. It offers typical Latin American music you can groove throughout the whole night coupled with Latin style cocktail bar with surprisingly good food. The laid-back atmosphere of the bar is a perfect venue for anyone to let his or her hair down and dance, drink or dine the night away.

The CLUbarn offers several different things at the same time: a main disco bar for the dancing patrons, a lounge separated from the disco for a night of chitchat and bonding, a patio bonfire with real fire at the center, an outdoor bar for those who’d like a touch of nature and a stage and performance area. Should you be interested in a variety of things, then CLUbarn will always have an area that would suit your style of a dining experience.

Simba Saloon is the most popular disco in Nairobi owing this to its perfect location in Langata road. It has a spacious area with three separate bars adjacent to the main disco. It is the best hangout for the luxurious customers including upper class Kenyans, expats, and tourists. However, if you seek only a dining experience head down to the Java House where there are a number of places to choose from. For the more expensive taste, Carnivore offers the best meat dishes in the whole of Nairobi.

For Asian taste, head over to Furusato for the best and the most authentic Japanese cuisine in the region. Although, the last two places are a bit expensive, there is always no price that could equal that of a heartwarming and delicious meal. Nairobi is one experience that has to explored to its fullest extent, because the city almost never sleeps. From night to day and vice versa, you will always have something to do. Beware to save up on your rest before you go to Nairobi, because sleep is never quite as good when you are in there.
