Bekasi is a city to the east of Jakarta, Indonesia in the Jabotabek region, and is the capital of Bekasi Regency. The city has a population of approximately 2 million within the city limits, while substantial urban areas surround the city. It serves as a commuter city for Jakarta, although it does have its own industries, notably trade, business, and processing industries.
