Along is a census town and headquarters of West Siang district in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, India. It is located about 150 km from Likabali which is at the border of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Along is a valley and is extremely beautiful as far the scenic grandeur of this place is concerned. It has mountains all around with two rivers flowing through it - the Sipu and Siyom. Both these rivers converge at Belun Ghat and ultimately meet the Siang which is one of the biggest rivers in Arunachal Pradesh.

Along is located at 28.17° N 94.77° E[1]. It has an average elevation of 619 metres (2030 feet).
Demographics
As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Along had a population of 16,834. Males constitute 56% of the population and females 44%. Along has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 61% of the males and 39% of females literate. 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
