We arrived quite soon to the Bicaz Canyon (in Hungarian is Bekas szoros). I think this place is unique in Romania. The road cuts through the mountains and it's just wide enough for two lanes.
Near the road there was a stream, where you could go down. It was amazing: you are between the mountains, you can even touch the rocks, but the cars are passing near you. Some guys were mountaineering, and the tourists stopped to watch it. After a couple of minutes the group of tourists grew so large that the cars could hardly pass by them. Oh, and a very funny thing: the cars can drive slowly because of the tourists but not just because of them; the locals are still using carts... with one or two "horsepower" you can imagine how fast they run... :)
We could hardly find a parking place. There were no official parking places just the edge of the road. There were bigger places but these were occupied by different vendors.
After spending about an hour here we decided to go further to the Red Lake.
