Beaver Creek, CO, US

(about Beaver Creek, CO United States, last edited on Sep 04, 2007)

The resort’s variety of terrain, breathtaking alpine scenery and superb snow conditions combine to create a unique setting for unforgettable skiing experiences with family and friends. Located in one of the most beautiful areas just 20 minutes from Eagle Country Airport, Beaver Creek is a recreational paradise rated nr. 4 best ski resort in North America.

It has the look and the feel of an elegant and luxurious European resort with a nice and secluded community. There’s everything from world-class sports to entertainment so you can combine the active moments of the day with some relaxing moments in the evening and night when you can unwind shopping, going to a performing arts center or dine in style at one of the restaurants.

All forms of alpine recreation are available along with the more urban ones. Here you can find the perfect combination between the two forms of recreation without any trace of it being unnatural. This way you certainly won’t miss the city and will feel like staying here forever.

Those who do not live near a mountain and come here will certainly feel the difference between being here and being home. The mountain provides snowshoeing across silent mountaintop glades, heated walkways and escalators, thrills, challenges, and serenity, a complete mountain experience for all those who are lucky enough to be here.

People have kept coming here for different reasons apart from being lured by the snow activities. Some see it as a perfect family vacation, others the perfect romantic week-end getaways. It is a combination that creates a unique setting for unforgettable skiing experiences with family and friends.

Beaver Creek can be the destination you want it to be as it will suit well all your needs. As for skiers, the more experienced ones need no introduction, they have surely been here before or at least they have heard of the place. But it is not an advanced skiers' paradise; all levels will find Beaver Creek a resort to fulfill the needs of all levels and tastes.

Children of all ages are especially welcomed. The Small World Pre School will see to their being taken well care of while their parents can go out on the slopes. Professional staff will ensure you some worry free hours on the mountain. Whether your baby is an infant, toddler or pre-schooler this is the place to bring him. There are age appropriate activities to keep them busy and happy.

Another place for kids to be is the Village Plaza right in Beaver Creek Village. There’s fun for kids of all ages including a climbing wall and an 18-hole miniature golf course.

Among the Terrain Parks I’d like to mention the Park 101, Zoom Room and Moonshine. The first one is located off the top of Cinch Express and it is suitable for entry level. The second is in the same area and it is a progressive park. Moonshine is for the more advanced ones as it is the most difficult terrain park.

You can choose to come here in the warm seasons, too as there are plenty of off-snow activities hiking, fly fishing, rafting and golfing at the legendary Robert Trent Jones, Jr. golf course.
As for lodging you can choose to stay at one of the most elegant one Beaver Creek Lodge where you can enjoy a number of facilities like the restaurant, the intimate pool and expanded fitness area or visit the acclaimed Allegria Spa for a soothing massage or body treatments.

It's the commitment to quality that keeps Beaver Creek one of the most modern, convenient and popular resorts and this is why tourists keep coming back.
