(about Eden, UT United States, last edited on Oct 09, 2007)

Located in Eden, Utah north of Salt Lake International Airport and just northeast of Ogden, Powder Mountain offers an exhilarating high mountain powder adventure and some of the greatest snow.

With unbeatable runs, great snow conditions and 100% natural snow - there's a difference between snow from heaven and artificial snow - it’s easy to understand why guests and employees alike love Powder Mountain. At first the only lucky ones to experience all this were the locals but soon the word spread out and the resort became popular, the excellent powder bringing riders back year after year.

It is mostly popular among the intermediate and advanced-level winter sports lovers for it offers unbeatable runs and incredible powder and a lot of space as only 10% of the resort's slopes are for beginning skiers. There are over 86 runs ranging from intermediate to advance.

The kids are definitely not left out and you should bring them with you as Powder Kids Snow Sports School sees that all children aged 3 to 12 are looked after in a controlled environment and trained to improve their skills and to raise their confidence levels. This is done in an entertaining and anxiety free atmosphere. The kids will have fun and learn on the snow. Improvement will come soon as they will be placed in their correct level from lesson to lesson. Parents can leave the children here at by 9:30AM and reunite with them during lunch or just leave them have lunch here and pick them up at 3:00PM. Their time spent here will make their vacation happen.

Powder Mountain is a prime winter and summer destination, the ski and board season usually lasting from mid-November to mid-April and during the summer months the slopes are turned into mountain biking and hiking tracks.

Utah powder is only one reason people flock to these slopes, the family atmosphere and the personalized attention given to its visitors are also among the reasons why Powder Mountain is so loved by tourists.

Besides the traditional skiing there is also snowcat skiing and heli-skiing. Diamond Peaks Heli-Ski Adventures has offered extreme adventure for over fifteen for those who want their adrenaline pumping.

Those who want to ride in comfort the Lighting Ridge Snowcat is the perfect choice to get to the top of Lightning Ridge in its heated cabin. Snowcat is also the thing that will get you to Utah's backcountry for a more exhilarating experience. There are private guided tours and host orientation that introduce you to the best snow and terrain for your ability in the phenomenal backcountry that surrounds Powder Mountain Winter Resort. The ideal terrain will be pointed out to suit your style. The tours are available from mid-November through mid-May.

There is a vast terrain that give you access to over 700 acres of pure powder snow with an impressive 2100' vertical drop. There are also over 5500 acres of shreddable terrain and 2,800 acres served by lifts rivalling any resort in the US. The halfpipe and terrain park is regularly groomed.

Skiing is also included in the night entertainment option while the restaurants await their customers with both specialties and ordinary meals.

With its light, dry, airy conditions; the genuine, fallen-from-the-sky powder, the gold medal terrain, fantastic boarding conditions, certified snow sports school, sport shops with rentals, restaurants and slope side lodging, Powder Mountain Resort ranks among the best of Utah resorts. Your stay at Powder Mountain will be a memorable experience as here will get the freedom to find yourself, both mind and body.
