Located in southern Utah, Brian Head Resort is the highest-elevation resort in the state making it a uniquely laid-back resort with uncrowded atmosphere and slopes appealing for both guests and employees. Because most of the winter resorts are usually packed, Brian Head is unique in what it has to offer and besides that it is also an affordable winter getaway for singles and especially for families, children under 5 skiing and snowboarding for free.

In its early days Brian Head was known as Monument Peak as it was one of the highest packs expedition leaders used to refer to in their expeditions. There are diverse stories on how it got its name as Brian Head, but one thing is sure, that it was named after a person. It slowly grew to a complete resort and now it offers plenty of outdoor activities or relaxing opportunities. If you don’t feel like any activity you can just admire the spectacular scenery, including views of Cedar Breaks National Monument and the Great Basin.

This premier alpine destination surrounded by Utah's stunning red-rock landscapes and next to Utah's famous national parks is only three hours from Las Vegas. Being so conveniently located it makes getting here easy. This full-service resort receives over 400 annual inches of snow providing a great vacation value unmatched by any other winter resort in the region. The snow conditions are consistent and good most of the time and its safe and relaxed atmosphere makes the recreational opportunities more enjoyable. You can choose between skiing, boarding, snowmobile tours, spa treatments, cross-country skiing, sleigh rides, snow tubing, snow biking and snowshoeing. You will certainly find something to your taste if not try them all just for the fun of it.

You don’t have to worry you won’t find enough space to practice your level, as there are more than 50 runs, 30 snow features and three terrain parks for all ability levels. One of the best parks is the Snow Tubing Park favored by many.

Being a family friendly resort, children are especially welcomed and have lots of facilities. They have an entire mountain to practice on; there is a renowned but affordable camp for kids called Kids Camp, a winter sports coaching facility offering all-inclusive packages for children ages 3-12, they can have skiing lessons and hands-on activities for all ages and level. It is an enormous help for parents too as they can leave their kids here at the state-licensed Day Care facility and practice their favourite winter activity without worrying about their children.

For all those who want to learn how to ski or take up snowboarding or just perfection your level you just have to go to the Winter Sports School. With specialized teaching equipment and professional instructors watching over your learning you will definitely benefit from the lessons and go home satisfied that you have improved while newcomers to skiing are guaranteed to become proficient skiers before the end of their trip.

The terrain is diverse. There are wide, groomed trails at Giant Steps, two lifts and ten runs dedicated to beginners, snowcat service to the top of Brian Head Peak for advanced-level skiers, short mogul fields and quick adventures in the glades, and also an assortment of parks, rails, fun boxes. The terrain is also favourable for free style.

As for lodging and dining options, there are plenty to choose from to suit budget.
