The Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is considered the symbol of Paris and one of the most nonconformist architectural piece of art in the world, even if at first it was met with skepticism. It was designed by Gustave Eiffel and inaugurated in 1889. The tower has a height of 300 m and a weight of over 10 000 tonnes. During the period when it was built it was the highest building in the world.
The tower has 3 levels, at the first two the public access is posible with the elevator and on the stairs too, but at the third level the access is posible only with the elevator
Annually, this building on the famous skeleton of steel, is visited by over 5.5 million people.
