Last summer we spent some days in Budapest with a friend from California. We tried to do and see as many things in this capital city as we could. We heard about this place 'The Mansion of Miracles' (Csodak Palotaja in hungarian) and we deciced to visit it.

This place is a very big hall divided into many different-sized parts where different kinds of things can be done :) This like a Physics class but you don't have a teacher who explains the things, but you have a short description at every part what is that, what you can do and what will be the effects.

For example at picture 4 you could test your reaction time. There were eight red buttons and around them were little leds. When the leds lit up around one of the buttons you have to hit that button as fast as you can.

At picture 5 we tested our memories :) the big piano had about 15 keys. In the first round only one highlightened and gave a sound. In the second round after the first key a second one highlightened too and so on... after some rounds a whole song could be played if you could remember all of the keys in the correct order.

Picture 11 is the speed testing :)

There were many other tests and games too, but we haven't made so many photos because we were too busy playing them :) Here you can feel like a child even if you usually feel too old for playing games. And it's not only about playing... you learn things too - not definitions from books, but how things happen in real life. I think this place is very cool and useful too.

We also visited here a House of Future. Here we could read about innovations which could be used in a future household, and also we could see robot animals to understand better their life. A don't know for sure why these robots were there because they had no relation with the house of future, but they were cool :) We could even try how a frog catches a fly.

Oh, and I almost forget the robot on picture 18 which could play a song only by knocking glasses with water. And when the song was finished it waited us to applaud :) That was nice too.
