Going by car at Tunisia can be very funny, especially if you dont know the area.
When we left Kairoun, we could find some street signs, but soon after we left the city, signs got very rare. It was some kind of hide and seek game, ´cause you really had to look at everything, that could be a hint to the place where you want to go. Another adventure were the streets conditions. Sometimes we thought, that we crash the cars axle because of potholes, that were really got hidden in the street. That would have been great, because beeing in the middle of nowhere, we would have been some kind of screwed, because nearly all of the people"hangingaround" in the woods, didn´t look very friendly and in a good condition.
But finally we managed it to arrive at El Djem, famous for his well preserved roman Amphitheater. This was really great, but the area was totally focused on tourist and the people always wanted to make you buy something in a real aggressiv way. But the village was worth a look, because of the roman history.
In that village i got also the impression, that the men are always try to sell in an agressiv way, but the more friendly persons are women.
