I drove down to San Diego on the 22nd for another business meeting. I was meeting with a group hotel company. San Diego has changed quite a bit. LA is still the same somehow but San Diego is being redeveloped over and over again. New office space everywhere, I should move down there sometime.

Anyhow, the big thing was Thanksgiving which is such a treat with these two wonderful families. I love being with my old room mate from college and his wife, two really precious people. Becky's parents are wonderful and they were kind enough to have me over at their dinner. We had a ton of food. I dug in 3 times before I had to give up. Right after the dinner it was a second dinner time over at George's family. Man.... more food, great people. It felt like we were back in college again except that the kids had grown up a lot and I couldn't eat as much anymore. George's dad who runs a gourmet food direct mail company supplied us with fresh artichokes and apples as every year. Those things are awesome, the quality is just unbelievable. Anyhow, you know how Thanksgiving is, always eat too much and talk talk talk..., it's maybe the best holiday though, because the whole 'Saying Thanks' thing is really nice.

The next day I went to the Carlsbad Outlets only to be shocked. I could not believe what I saw. I was searching for a parking lot for over an hour and then when I finally found one and went into the outlet there were 100 people standing in line to pay over at the GAP store. I have really never seen anything like this, are these people mad or do they simply disregard the time value of money, UNREAL! Anyhow, I escaped from the year's busiest shopping day after about 2 hours of failed shopping. I drove up to Balboa Island and went shopping there. There was nobody there, the products were way over priced, but I found it refreshing and it took me about 5 minutes to find two little gifts.

After my quick shopping spree I went on to GrandMa's house were I met up again with the Arnett family. We had a nice barbecue, man I love SoCal... I should really move here:)
