Tagged as the oldest national park in India, Jim Corbett National Park is located in Nainital district and is not very far from the main hill station of Nainital. Travellers come to relax in this hill station for their vacations and get time to make a trip to the national park as well. This protected wildlife sanctuary is a part of state of Uttarakhand and known for the preservation of Royal Bengal tigers. Although not all the parts of the reserve are open for tourists and nature lovers, they can still see some beautiful and magnificent sceneries of it. You can find more Corbett Travel Information on Internet as well as the official website of the travel department.

In the National Park

You could go on a Jeep or ride an elephant for a trip in Jungle. There are many things that you can enjoy and amuse yourself like fishing and angling, birding and great flora and fauna apart from the wildlife. You can choose to enhance your experience by living in forest lodges or luxury forest resorts.

Best Way to Reach Jim Corbett National Park

The best way to reach Jim Corbett National Park is by road. The distance could be covered either by bus or car (hired or otherwise). Regular services of bus would let you see the amusements on road as well. Non-availability of a helipad or air strip makes it impossible for an air service near the park. So, travellers who are coming here from a long distance can use Pantnagar Airport which is just 50 Km and can then take a bus or taxi to the park. Trains from various cities come to Ramnagar from where bus could be taken to the Jim Corbett National Park.

Best Time to Visit Jim Corbett National Park

The park could be visited in almost all the seasons with little precaution and pre-information. The weather of the sanctuary is extremes in both the seasons. In summers, it is extremely hot during that time, from April to June. If you are just a little careless with your clothing, you can get blisters. In winters, it could be bone-chilling cold. Mornings and nights could be very cold and afternoons somewhat hot to soothing depending upon the month you choose to visit. Well, that may sound like a bit exaggeration but it is better to have precautions rather than sufferings.

Once you have decided to make a trip to the National Park, it is important that you take care of all the Corbett Travel Information so that your trip to the places could be as smooth as possible. All the fun with nature awaits you in here. Get set and go!
