Day 1:

Nairobi-Kisumu: You will take a flight from Nairobi to kisumu International airport where you will be met by our driver, briefed and then proceed to Kisumu museum (a captivating celebration of the luo culture) at 0800hrs.You will sample the rich cultural heritage of the luo together with their diverse species of their favourite delicacy, fish.Other fascinating attractions include the snake pits and live animals. You will then proceed to Kit mikayi, a gigantic pile of rocks which serves as an object for legends and religious pilgrimages. Have picnic lunch and spend the entire afternoon by the lakeside. Have a boat ride on this fresh water lake and participate in sport fishing and even swimming. Return to your hotel, dinner and overnight at the Kisumu imperial hotel/marina hotel/Kisindi lodge.

Day 2:

After breakfast, depart to Kakamega forest national Reserve (the only remnant of the greater Congo forest) with breathtaking views of the Isukhu river, the riverine forest and Buyangu view point, which give a bird eye view of the forest canopy. You will also stop at the crying stone of Ilesi area and marvel at the myths surrounding the rock and know why jealousy is bad! There was once a woman who started crying when she realized that her husband had married a second wife, got jealous and turned into that stone, which cries to date! Don’t just read about myths; get the facts right. Optional bullfighting tours available on request at a small cost. Have nature walks in the pristine Kakamega forest home to more than 300 species of birds ideal for ornithologists, birdwatchers and observe diverse primate species. Dinner and overnight at the Golf hotel/Rondo retreat center.

Day 3:

After breakfast, depart to the greatest kingdom that ever existed and where Kings still exist, the Wanga kingdom.Here, the culture of the wanga Kingdom is showcased and discover how royalties are buried. Did you know that Kings are buried while sitted? And that they are wrapped in a hide when buried? Get an insight of how the King Nabongo Mumia (who collaborated British rule in Kenya) lived and how King Sakwa (who signed the Anglo German agreement with a German philanthropist, Karl peters that gave rise to the birth of Tanganyika and Kenya as independent states.).Discover this at the wanga cultural center and Eshimuli cultural shrine where culture is highly guarded. Have picnic lunch and rest of the day at leisure. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

After breakfast, transferred to Kisumu airport for your flight back to Nairobi/connecting flight home.
