  • The best skydiving spots in the world

Skydiving is one of the most popular extreme sports nowadays, not only because it can give you a healthy dose of adrenaline, but also because it allows you to see some of the most breath-taking views on the planet. If you think that a landscape looks incredible from the ground, just imagine what it would look like if you could pleasantly float above it, hundreds of feet high, and see every nook and corner all at once.

So if you are not afraid of heights and if you’re not averse to an adrenaline rush every now and then, here are the best skydiving spots in the world.

    Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia

The impressive coastline at Wollongong, in New South Wales, is not only a paradise for surfers. If it looks great on the ground, Wollongong looks absolutely incredible from the air. You will get an eyeful of the coastline and the water where dolphins are swimming (keep an eye out for them), but also of the sprawling city of Sydney, with its concrete jungle and dazzling lights.

    Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia

The views you get when jumping out of a plane several thousand feet above the ground over the Kamchatka Peninsula is absolutely amazing, but it is not for those who haven’t dived before, or who are not very comfortable with altitudes over 10,000 feet. You’ll see the rugged landscape of the peninsula, as well as some smoking volcanoes too.

    Victoria Falls, Zambia

Victoria Falls is one of the seven natural wonders of the world, and definitely one of those places that look even better from up in the air (even if it is still incredibly beautiful from the ground). If you are lucky, you will even see a rainbow over the waterfall, but in any case, the sight of the Zambezi river snaking its way through the green expanses of Zambia is enough of a reward.

    Interlaken, Switzerland

If you want to see some snow-capped mountains when plummeting towards the ground, there are no better mountains for the purpose than the Swiss Alps.

In Interlaken, a small town located between two superb lakes, you can skydive for very reasonable prices, and there are special programs for first-timers. If you are new to skydiving, this is one of the best destinations for starting your journey.

    Longmont, Colorado

It is pretty obvious that if you get to see the Great Plains wash up against the Rocky Mountains, the view has got to be something truly special. If you skydive at Longmont, in Colorado, that’s exactly the view you are going to get.
