  • Romantic Hawaii

Hawaii has been praised by the American pop-culture as the ideal honey-moon destination and one of the most romantic places on earth. America’s wealthiest business people, singers and actors – they all have their little piece of heaven on one on Hawaii’s islands.  We all remember pictures from Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love’s dreamy wedding ceremony, set against a Hawaiian sunset, or the numerous tabloid articles that have followed Bill Gates’ million dollar Hawaiian wedding. But the high density of celebs per square mile in Hawaii doesn’t mean that us, common people, are forbidden to step on this blessed land. By contrary: there are thousands of happy couples that spend their honey moon here or fly to Hawaii just to get married. This is why we thought that presenting Hawaii as one of the most popular wedding locations in the world might prove to be useful for some of our readers.

    E Hoomau Maua Kealoha

If your only reason to get married in Hawaii is to have some cool wedding pictures to show your work mates, then you should reconsider your choice and save the money for a Photoshop expert. Your wedding ceremony can get as fancy or as traditional you want (if you choose a traditional Hawaiian wedding, you could use learning some indigenous phrases, like ‘E Hoomau Maua Kealoha’, meaning ‘May our love last forever’.  To give the wedding an authentic air, you could try to get a local musician play some traditional guitar music, together with the famous Hawaii Wedding Song.

There are dozens of agencies that can organize weddings in Hawaii, and locations vary from 5-star hotels to public beaches. However, the most important accessory at your wedding is the flower lei, symbolizing the beauty of Hawaii and also a sign of one’s best wishes towards the receiver of the gift.

    Accommodation

If you decided to get married in Hawaii, most likely you will also send your honey-moon there. No matter if you chose to establish your temporary residence on Oahu, Maui, Kauai or some other Hawaiian island, make sure you book the kind of hotel that would make your staying unforgettable. If you’re looking for some pampering and splendid views, maybe you would like to try the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Baungalows (with a spa). No matter how popular the Hawaiian islands are, you can be sure that you will find some places that combine comfort with total isolation: there will be no phone or TV set to disturb you at Kona Village Resort, just the sound of waves and the delicate fragrance of flowers.

    Entertainment

Although privacy is what most recently marries couples are looking for, you can always spice up your staying by doing something out of the ordinary. And Hawaii is just the perfect place to do that: with each year, entertainment possibilities become more and more diversified.  You can take advantage of Hawaii’s rich maritime fauna and try your luck at spotting a whale or have some fun swimming with the playful dolphins.
