Hole in the Wall
The name Hole in the Wall does not suggest a very interesting place, but don’t let yourself be deceived. This nightclub is one of the hippest places in the city. The young crow simply loves this club in Buckhead, where you can practice your groovy dance moves to the best hits of the 70s and 80s. The club looks almost like a good old disco populated by a throng of modern young people. The walls are hand-painted, and there’s a huge funky disco ball swirling on the ceiling. Rest your feet on the lounge area, grab a bite, quench your thirst and get back on the dancefloor.
Lava Lounge
Lava Lounge is a place where you can have fun regardless whether you’re a party animal or if you prefer to lounge and chat with your friends or random strangers. The bar is well stocked with what is considered to be the best martini in town, and the martinis are not the only reason to spend some time at the lava surfaced bar. Head to the lower level to dance on house or industrial music, or retreat to the softly-lit lounge.
Havana Club
Like the name suggests, Havana Club is a place for lovers of latino music. While it used to be a cigar club, the patrons spend more of their time dancing on salsa rhythms than puffing smoke.
The drinks at this bar are notoriously strong, and while many of the bar-goers spend their night dancing, just as many choose to chill in the lounge. With DJ’s playing on weekdays and live bands on weekends, there’s no way to get bored at the Havana Club.

If you love swing and big band jazz, head to Johnny’s Hideaway as soon as you arrive to Atlanta. For over 20 years, this place has been the town’s premier spot for live jazz music. In the early evening, you can listen to jazz and swing and enjoy a stiff drink, but as the night drags on, the beat turns more modern and the crowd moves to the dance floor to groove out to disco music.
Leopard Lounge
Leopard print seems to be trendy nowadays, but not only when it comes to designer clothes. This bar (like the name says) is covered in leopard print wherever it was possible to glue leopard printed fabric. The retr0 crowd adores this place, as will you.
