Ireland – the best holiday destination in Europe

Well, at least from my point of view, I strongly believe Ireland is the best holiday destination in Europe and one of the beat in the world. I am not talking financials or anything practical, it is simply so very gorgeous and charming.

Just think about it, the Celtic memories, the culture, the incredible landscapes… Please allow me to tell you what I adore the most about Ireland, and if you liked it, jump into Ireland yourself – as the below video suggests.

Irish history

Today’s Ireland was shaped by several influences, primarily Celtic, then Saxon, English, Viking and some others. Ireland’s history is full of wars, family feuds and heroes, but also suffering and the lives of tough people.

What I love the most is that you can smell history everywhere, on the cobbled streets of small towns with old houses, beautiful churches from the dawn of Christianity, ancient castles full of stories and so much more!

Culture in Ireland

There are so many stuff about Irish culture that I just love. There are the pubs of course, the famous Irish pubs with that unmistakable cozy feeling, lots of great beer and whiskey and the Irishmen who attend them.

Beside the good beer, you cannot listen to Irish music and not fall in love with it, or see Irish folk dance or the Trinity College in Dublin… almost anything Irish – at least for me.

The land of Ireland

No matter how many images you saw about Ireland, they are all breathtaking, no exception and in the case of my favorite Holiday destination reality gets way above imagination.

The grass is always perfectly green, fog gives everything a mysterious nuance and the rocks and forests are wonderful. No wonder there are so many supernatural characters in Irish folklore on such a mysterious land, fairies, ghosts, giants and all others await in Ireland.
